Foodservice Resource Features Recipes Created by Top Chefs

 

SALINAS, Calif., March 7, 2007 – Boggiatto Produce announces the launch of its new website located at www.boggiatto.com. The site, which has been developed as a comprehensive information resource for customers and other foodservice professionals, features a wealth of product information as well as recipes created by top chefs using the company's Garden Hearts® hearts of romaine and Garden Hearts® Iceberg Babies®.

As part of the company's ongoing commitment to food safety, the site also outlines the company's food safety program and includes links to the company's Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), Good Harvesting Practices (GHP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) manuals.

"We've designed this new website to be a valuable resource for both our customers and the foodservice industry," stated President Michael Boggiatto. The site also includes a selection of recipes that highlight a number of different ways to serve both Garden Hearts® hearts of romaine and Iceberg Babies®, small heads of iceberg lettuce about the size of a softball. Developed specifically for the foodservice, many of the recipes are also suitable for home use. They have been developed by Beat Giger, CEC, AAC, corporate chef for Pebble Beach Resorts (Pebble Beach, CA); Bert Cutino, CEC, AAC, co-founder of The Sardine Factory (Monterey, CA); and Jasper Mirabile, Jr., CMC, FIC, co-owner of Jasper's (Kansas City, MO).
